I promise this will be the last animation that features a Tiger II tank. Or maybe not… We’ll see. Here’s a scene showing an abandoned Tiger II tank being re-claimed by mother nature.

It was also known to the Allies as the buzz bomb or doodlebug, and in Germany as Kirschkern (cherry stone) or Maikäfer (maybug). The V1 was the first of the Vergeltungswaffen deployed for the terror bombing of London. It was developed at Peenemünde Army Research Center in 1939 by the Luftwaffe at the beginning of […]
This scene depicts a computer room as you would find in the 1960’s and 1970’s at companies who could afford it. The servers shown here are IBM mainframe computers.
Another animation featuring a Tiger II tank.
This scene, revealing the DeLorean car for the very first time, was made after a scene from the movie Back to the Future (part 1) Scene from the actual movie for comparison
This is a replica of the old train station that we used to have in Valkenswaard, which is the town where I live in. It was demolished in 1962, so finding reference material was not easy. After having searched in every corner of the internet unsuccessfully, I eventually went to a meeting of a local […]
I used a bunch of different tools besides Blender to put this scene together. Botaniq add-on for Blender, Traffiq add-on for Blender, Mixamo, Makeahuman, and obviously Sketchfab. Here are the models that I downloaded from Sketchfab for this scene.
Here’s another project that is based on a real building in Valkenswaard, the town where I live. This time it’s about the Venbergse Molen, where molen translates to mill. This water mill has a rich history, and I wrote a separate blog post about that. Check it out here: https://visiestudio.nl/blog/venbergse-molen-valkenswaard/ I built most of the […]
After having put in the effort of rigging the character that is wearing my face, I felt I should use it somehow. So I grabbed some sword fight motions from Mixamo, built a simple environment, and put everything together. Mixamo’s animations are too fast in my opinion, so I rendered the animation in 60fps, but […]
I found this armor on Sketchfab and really liked it, so I decided to add my face to it and animate it. This short animation is the results.
This is the first test-render for a new animation that focuses on a Tiger II tank. The end is not in sight yet because there’s a lot more that still needs to be done. But I was personally rather pleased with the results of the render, so here’s a sneak peek of what is to […]
This scene shows the top floor inside some tower, at some isle, on some continent, used by some female NPC character named Jana, in some MMO game. You may perhaps recognize the scene from the popular game World of Warcraft. Or not. It doesn’t matter.. I exported Jana’s Tower from the classic Theramore Isle, before […]
Yep, another World War II themed animation. I hope this won’t make anybody think that I’m pro-war or something. I’m not! I’m just really fascinated by the history. Which should be understandable considering that I live in an area that was occupied by the Germans during the war.Anyway, I didn’t really set any goals that […]
A really short video showing a guy walking through some sci-fi corridor environment. I put this together really fast to mess around a bit with a new fog add-on for Blender that I wanted to try out. The outcome doesn’t at all look that bad in my opinion, so I decided to post it. The […]
This building exists at the edge of my hometown. It was built as a communications bunker by the Germans during World War II. I wrote a separate blog post on the building’s history in a blog post here. Luckily, I was allowed to investigate the building in its current state and take some pictures. Many […]
This is a continuation of something I’ve been working on earlier. I added a scene where a sailor, that looks suspiciously a lot like me, is working on releasing several depth charges. Animating this character was a pain in the butt since the ship is moving up and down following the ocean waves. I also […]
I’ve been postponing learning how to animate the tracks of a tank, but I finally got around to do it. This video obviously proves that. It is a first render, and I’m not at all pleased with the animation, but I don’t think I’ll continue working on it so there you have it. I am […]
Perhaps you noticed earlier that I made a replica of the old Eindhoven Airport. I wanted to make an animation around it, so I downloaded a model of a Heinkel HE 111 plane from Sketchfab and got to work. First, I edited the model of the plane, so I could animate the propellers and landing […]
I wrote a separate blog post here about this scene, and it contains background information on the building and the history. I began by searching for reference images, since this is a real building that is still standing. For me, this was the first time that I used the Blender add-on Archimesh. I kicked myself […]
This fun little project was made with the help of the WoW Export Tool and WoW model viewer. The bike was downloaded from Sketchfab. I already had a rigged model of my Paladin from earlier projects. So this was all put together rather fast. I rigged the bike using the Blender add-on rig-a-car, which is […]
This short video was done rather fast as I already built my desk for a different project, so all I did was add a new model of myself to the scene. The fbx file containing the typing animations I also created a while ago so adding it to the model was also easy since I only had to import the animation to the model.
I started this project because I wanted to practice building a simple building, like the infamous gate-building of Auschwitz. Once I was done with the building, I added the train tracks, and doing so resulted in me wanting to add a train as well, and after that it all just gotten out of hand.
I read somewhere that they are going to demolish this building, and since I have some fond memories that originate in this building, I decided to build it in 3D. I used the photo’s that are included as comparison to build this model.
I really liked how it looked so I decided to add all sorts of stuff and transform the model in to an old Russian room during the cold war. Also I added a cloth simulation to the curtain so it moves in the wind. For me this was mostly a project that allowed me to fool around with cloth simulating, but also lighting.
This was one of the very first real projects that I embarked on. It took me a very long time. If I would have to do it again, I would do everything so differently. But that only shows that I’ve learned a lot from it and that was the goal.
I built this room from memory. This was one of the first places I lived when I moved out of my parents house. I exported this model to Unity and performed some required tasks before I could upload it as a custom world to VRChat. From within VRChat this room can be entered. I showed this VR version to old friends and they said it took them right back to those days.
I was browsing Sketchfab when I came across a decent model of New York’s skyline that is made up out of drone shots. I decided to search for a model of the statue of liberty as well and had difficulty choosing because there are MANY. I then proceeded to edit the model and replace the original face with my beautiful face, added the model of New York. Added some water and fog and lighting and such. Rendered the whole thing in Blender’s cycles and here you have the result.
First I asked him to send me three pictures of his head that I used to create a model of his face using the facebuilder plugin for Blender. His favorite race driver was Ayrton Senna, so I downloaded a model of a helm from Sketchfab and created a texture for it myself so it resembles Senna’s helm.
This video ends with: To be continued. But it won’t. Looking back at it now, I jumped through so many hoops to make something out of the mess I had already created. I’m never going to touch that project file again! Still, I wanted to share the end results since this was my first animation […]
This project was a practice for me to learn better how to work with textures and characters with Mixamo animations.
In Mixamo I added the dance gestures to the models. I used the WoW Export tool to extract the cemetery in Duskwood from the game files and imported the .obj files in Blender using a addon that comes with the WoW export tool.
I used Mixamo to add the typing gestures the model shows in this video. I simply built the environment around the animation. I created the audio files myself and also the gameplay footage that is shown on the monitor. Using Vegas Pro I added the sounds to the animation.
I already had a rigged model of a Stormwind Guard. I exported the model as fbx so I could upload it to Mixamo where I added the dance-moves and downloaded the fbx Mixamo provided me. I imported this into Blender once again and rendered the animation in cycles. I mostly use Vegas Pro for video […]
I used the app WoW Model Viewer to import a default model of a Stormwind guard from the game files, and then I exported it as a obj file. In Blender I imported the obj file and cleaned it up. I then rigged it using a default vrm preset rig. Also I worked on […]
A simple model of my Samsung phone. I learned how to add a video file as a material while making this. And also how to have a camera follow a path.
