I wrote a separate blog post here about this scene, and it contains background information on the building and the history.
I began by searching for reference images, since this is a real building that is still standing. For me, this was the first time that I used the Blender add-on Archimesh. I kicked myself in the head a couple of times for not using it earlier, since it can save a lot of time during the construction of doors and windows. To replicate the original building as accurate as possible by only using a handful of reference images (that can be seen or earlier mentioned blog post) was a fun practice. I’m quite content with how it turned out. I plan to use it in an animation that I want to create that will contain planes!!
